Our client was a company that provides business solutions to enterprises that work in the recycling and metallurgy industries. By using the most up-to-date development tools and databases, the company’s specialists design, code, install, and support their accounting and operating systems all across North America. Thanks to their products and services, their clients can manage different business processes more efficiently and greatly contribute to the development of the industries where they work.
This company turned to us with a request to conduct a technical audit and solve the problems in the functioning of their iOS and Android apps.

Solutions

After a detailed analysis, we detected the following problems:

iOS:

After the update of the version up to 16.4, iPhone 14 and iPad 16.4, and newer – the button “split” in the menu is blocked. No changes were introduced to the app. Any trials to place “showmessagr” on the button lead to the abnormal termination of the app.

Android:

In the Play Store, the app is displayed as incompatible with Samsung Galaxy Tabs. If it is installed from the APK file, sometimes it can work depending on the tablet’s version.

After studying the problems related to the tablets that work on the Android OS and analyzing compilation errors for the Android OS, we enhanced the source code for addressing the issue with tablets, set it for 32, 64 SDK, provided a guide for settings and an error log for the 64-bit version of Delphi 11.3 Android.
